THE PROCESS TO APPLY FOR THE HOME CARE WORKER PROGRAM
According to the information released about the Home Care Worker program last February, on the morning of March 21, 2025, the Ministry of Immigration officially provided information on how to apply for the Home Care Worker program. Workers can begin submitting their applications starting from March 31, 2025. The deadline for this recruitment period is March 30, 2026.
Expected quota for the Home Care Worker Pilot Immigration Program (HCWIP): Child Care.- Workers in Canada: online – 2,350 positions, alternative format: 260 positions.
- Unauthorized workers (undocumented in Canada): online – 125 positions, alternative format: 15 positions.
Expected quota for the Home Care Worker Pilot Immigration Program (HCWIP): Home Support.- Workers in Canada: online – 2,350 positions, alternative format: 260 positions.
- Unauthorized workers (undocumented in Canada): online – 125 positions, alternative format: 15 positions.
Accordingly, applicants will prepare through the following 6 steps:
Step 1: Prepare all required documents. The online portal will open at 10:00 AM (ET), and you need to prepare your account, application form, documents, and fees before submitting your application. If you are unable to apply online, you can request a copy in alternative formats such as paper, Braille, or large print. Some worker groups may have an application quota, and applications will be accepted until the quota is filled.
Step 2: Create an online account.
Step 3: Select the category you wish to apply for
• HCWIP: Child Care
• HCWIP: Home Care
The stream for applicants not working in Canada will open at a later time.
Step 4: Complete the application form and related documents.
Step 5: Pay the application fee.
Step 6: Submit the completed application.
